Dr. Ebony is a licensed psychologist, speaker, and entrepreneur dedicated to helping people, especially Black women and women of color, heal, grow, and reclaim their power. With over a decade of experience, she specializes in trauma recovery, self-worth, and culturally relevant mental health practices that speak to the lived experiences of marginalized communities.

She’s the creator of My Therapy Cards™, the first card deck and toolkit designed specifically for women of color to engage in self-exploration and emotional healing outside the therapy room. Dr. Ebony is also the visionary behind The Couch Reimagined, a coaching and consulting space for therapists ready to disrupt the status quo and build purpose-driven, profitable brands.

Known for her down-to-earth style, clinical insight, and truth-telling spirit, Dr. Ebony blends psychology with storytelling, strategy, and lived experience. Whether she’s speaking on stages, partnering with brands, or training mental health professionals, her mission is clear: make healing accessible and remind people that their stories deserve space and care.

 

Kimber Shelton, Ph.D.

Dr. Kimber Shelton is a licensed psychologist, author, and speaker. Her practice, KLS Counseling & Consulting Services, specializes in addressing cultural diversity, LGBTQ issues, trauma, and relationship concerns. Dr. Shelton is an award-winning psychologist committed to creating transformative healing spaces for minoritized groups. She has over 20 publications including the bestselling, A Handbook on Counseling African American Women, and has contributed to articles on CNN, Yahoo!, and Huff Post. Dr. Shelton has provided cultural competence training to thousands of health professionals, and works with groups and organizations to support their diversity and wellness initiatives. She is the cofounder of the Counseling Black Women Collective, a platform amplifying Black Women’s mental wellness and Black women therapists. She earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia and MS in Mental Health Counseling from Niagara University.
